    The city of Kentwood is accepting applications for a 62B District Court Probation Officer. This position will provide supervision and counseling of adult offenders ordered to probation and conduct investigations, screening, and assessments to prepare reports for judicial review with recommendations for terms of probation.


    Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology or a related field is required. This is a full time position with a starting wage of $22.58 and an excellent benefit package.   • Police Officer

    The City of Kentwood Police Department is seeking applicants for full time Police Officer positions.  We are looking for ambitious men and women with high moral integrity and a strong work ethic.  Applicants must be MCOLES certifiable by December 31, 2015.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, must have attended a minimum of 2 years of college, possess a valid Michigan driver’s license prior to hire date, and be of good moral character.
    To apply, applicants must pass the written Empco (Empco.net) test by July 5, 2015 and select the City of Kentwood Police Department as an organization for which he or she wishes to apply.  Go to Empco.net to find a list of test dates and times.  No resumes or applications are needed at this time as we will request them at a later date.
