Home Invasions
There were 259 incidents of home invasion (breaking and entering of a residence) reported to the Kentwood Police Department last year. The officers noted that during many of these incidents, the doors serving the house or attached garage were unlocked or open. During some of these incidents, vehicles have been taken from unlocked garages. Perpetrators have found keys in the ignition or console, and sometimes in purses. Ask a neighbor to keep a close watch on you home while you’re vacationing. Crime prevention is “A Community Effort.”
Lock your doors and secure your keys
