The Recreation Department is responsible for the coordination of recreational and sports activities for many groups within the City of Kentwood. The Recreation Department is also responsible for growth and development of many of our beautiful parks.
Mission Statement:
The Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department is an essential service established to improve the overall quality of life for all of Kentwood.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Come join us for a memorable night. Cost is $20 per couple, $5 per extra person. Pre-registration is required. Call (616)656-5270 to register.

Freeze Fest - Doubles Disc Golf Tournament & Food Drive
Saturday, February 18, 9:00am
Bring your own partner. Best shot doubles tournament. All funds raised will go towards Kentwood Parks & Recreation Youth Programs and all food items will go to The Pantry.

50th Anniversary Kick Off
Monday, February 27, 6-8pm
Bowen Elementary (4483 Kalamazoo Ave. SE)

The City of Kentwood held its first Commission Meeting at Bowen Elementary in 1967. To kick off the anniversary celebration, we're going back to where it all started. Join us for an informal City Commission Meeting.

Got talent? The City of Kentwood is looking for the best performers in the area to show off their skills at our Talent Show Competition this summer! Are you a singer, dancer or comedian? Do you play an instrument, perform magic, or have other talents? We want to see it! Register by March 3; first round auditions are March 9.
