At this time, equipment is positioned at Cascade Fire Station No. 2 on Buttrick Avenue and at Kentwood Fire Station No. 2 on Embassy Drive.

All TRI-COM Training is scheduled on the second Tuesday of every month at 0900 hours.

Right to Know Business Information Requests
Federal and state laws require local Fire Departments to develop site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for facilities that use, manufacture, or store hazardous chemicals. These SOPs include a plan for implementing the fire department’s responsibilities under "right to know" legislation.

Information provided in your response to the chemical survey requires preparation of a special response plan for your facility.

The Kentwood Fire Department needs your cooperation for successful development of this plan. Capt. Dale Boersma will call you soon to schedule an appointment to review the planning requirements. He will give you a worksheet that describes the information we need to include in the plan and a template for drawing a site plan that shows the facility and chemical locations. If you have a print or plan available that could meet some of our needs, you may provide a copy for modification by Kentwood personnel.

Capt. Boersma will schedule a time for a subsequent meeting at which he or a fire fighter will verify the data, walk through the facility and add details to the site plan, and obtain any additional information we may need to complete the plan.

If you have any questions, please contact the Fire Chief's office at 616-554-0800.

James E. Carr
Fire Chief
