  • Police Officer

    The City of Kentwood is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Officer. As part of a hiring consortium, EMPCO, Inc. will be administering the pre-employment exam to determine eligible candidates. Applicants must successfully complete the written exam by June 8, 2014 and be MCOLES certified by August 18, 2014. Those interested please visit www.empco.net for details on test dates and locations, and minimum requirements. Final determination for employment is subject to the policies and procedures of the City of Kentwood Police Department. Completing the EMPCO exam (and selecting City of Kentwood to receive results) is the only requirement at this time. You do not need to submit an application to the City of Kentwood at this time.

    The City of Kentwood is accepting applications for a full time Plumbing, Mechanical and Rental Housing Inspector to perform a variety of routine and complex technical work in building inspection work to ensure that the residential and commercial imposed plumbing, mechanical, housing, and other related codes and standards are met. Must have plumbing or mechanical license and experience in general construction of mechanical and plumbing systems. Starting pay is $21.81 per hour with excellent benefits.     The Activity Leader will aid in the planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of the 21st CCLC summer and after school programs at the school site assigned. Assist in interfacing school day curriculum into after school and summer camp activities. Aid in the coordination and consultation of the development and implementation of academic, enrichment, and recreational activities at the school, while creating a safe environment for participants, staff and volunteers. 
    This position will function under the general direction of the ARCH Site Coordinator.
