The Recreation Department is responsible for the coordination of recreational and sports activities for many groups within the City of Kentwood. The Recreation Department is also responsible for growth and development of many of our beautiful parks.
Mission Statement:
The Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department is an essential service established to improve the overall quality of life for all of Kentwood.

New Early Bird Discount!
Register early and save! Enroll by the date next to the little bird and save money! Early bird rates are for both residents and non-residents. Not available for all programs. 

Upcoming Events

Summer Concert Series
Thursday nights, 7:00pm-8:30pm
Join us for six concerts over the course of the Summer, on Thursday nights at the Kentwood City Hall lawn from 7:00-8:30pm. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair, and are welcomed to bring their own beer or wine to the show. We'll have a variety of food trucks each week. Thursday night concerts are free, so come early and reserve your seat on the lawn!

Kentwood 4th of July Celebration
Tuesday, July 4, 7:30am-10:00pm
Join us for our annual 4th of July Celebration! Events all day including:
7:30-9:30am Pancake Breakfast @ Kentwood Library
8:30am Autocam 5K Race & Fun Walk @ Kentwood City Hall
9:30am Parade - New route! Starts at Crestwood Middle School, travels south on Walma to Breton, turns west on 52nd and ends at Challenger Elementary.
6:00-10:00pm Evening Celebration @ Crestwood Middle School

Celebrate Kentwood - 2 Day Festival
Friday, August 11-Saturday, August 12
It's Kentwood's 50th Anniversary and we're throwing a big party to celebrate! All festivities will take place at or around the City Hall campus (4900 Breton SE). Events include:
- Classic car show
- Kentwood's Got Talent
- Breton Street Fair
- Music from The Isaac Norris Project, Cabildo and Mega 80's!
- Fireworks
